Cara forces Lauren and Pip to come camping with her for her birthday. Ant, Zach, and Connor come to meet them in the woods alter. That night, Ant starts making jokes about Andie coming back as a zombie, and Cara tells him to stop. Zach brings out a Ouija board, but Lauren doesn’t want to. Suddenly, Pip thinks she sees someone in the trees watching them.
Once again, Pip balances out her investigation with moments where she gets to be a normal teenager. As this passage shows, however, the two parts of Pip’s life are starting to collide, with the people on the camping trip making references to the investigation. This show how the investigation is increasingly coming to dominate Pip’s life.
