Al Capone Does My Shirts: Chapter 14: Al Capone’s Baseball Summary & Analysis

Summary
Analysis
Moose is so angry that all he can think about is how to get Scout to change the baseball game. In Miss Bimp’s class, Moose asks if they could play Tuesdays instead of Mondays, since he has to watch his sister. Scout nods like he understands, and he suggests Moose try to play with the prisoners. Moose mentions the convict baseballs, and Scout asks if Moose will show him if he finds one—it would be better than getting his shirt washed. Scout says he can’t do Tuesday this week, but maybe next week.
Scout is more accommodating than Moose expected, indicating that Mom might not be ruining Moose’s life entirely. But as Scout and Moose discuss the convict baseballs, Scout continues to show how interested he is in the convicts—they’re celebrities, and so anything they’ve touched is suddenly valuable.
