Alfredo is Amado’s partner in crime. When Carlos encounters Amado in Los Angeles, he and Alfredo are working as bootleggers of illegal alcohol. Carlos first notices Alfredo and follows him into a café, where the two men nearly come to blows before Amado intervenes when he recognizes Carlos. Alfredo, like Amado, speaks perfect English, and he and Amado eventually give up bootlegging for the gambling rackets.
