Herr Kesselmeyer
Herr Brecht is a dentist in Lübeck. He performs extensive dental work on Thomas and on Hanno, who has inherited his father’s poor dental health and his uncle Christian’s appetite for decadent sweets. Herr Brecht is deeply concerned about Thomas’s health when Thomas comes to him with severe pain from a badly infected tooth—and rightly so, for Thomas collapses on his way home from Brecht’s office and dies shortly after.
