Sen is a “ironic but fundamentally cheerful” philosopher and the current council chairman of New Athens. When the Inspector visits the colony, Sen spends several days showing him around and asking him questions, though he finds much of the logistics and data about the colony far less interesting than his Overlord guest does. Though he tries to get the Inspector to describe how the Overlords raise their children, or even if they have any children, he is unsuccessful.
