Miss Spink and Miss Forcible have both been transformed, apparently, into beautiful young women who perform an elaborate, never-ending theater piece for a rapt audience of Highland terriers. Coraline soon realizes, however, that the other Miss Spink and the other Miss Forcible are not what they seem—instead, they’re grotesque, fleshy creatures who live together in an egg sac attached to the back wall of their “theater.”
