Niece of Jimmy Raven, and relative of David and Walter. Auntie Lily is an old Aboriginal woman who lives in Boort is well-versed in Aboriginal history and cultural heritage. She is at first suspicious of Sadie, who is white and a stranger to the family, but, after Walter’s reassurances, she comes to their aid by helping them to locate the sacred objects that were taken from Jimmy Raven after his death. When Sadie locates Jimmy’s “special things,” she brings them promptly to Auntie Lily, who knows who to give them to. Auntie Lily is a guardian and protector of Aboriginal heritage.
