David is one of Barack’s half brothers, and he’s the second son of the Old Man and Ruth. Following her divorce from the Old Man, Ruth took her sons to Europe with her. But David, unwilling to distance himself from the Kenyan side of his family, ran away back to Kenya and lived with family members, including Roy. While living with Roy, David was killed in a motorcycle accident.
