Mr. Wilkerson is an English doctor who, with his wife, goes on safari with Barack and Auma. He grew up in Kenya on a tea plantation and feels like Kenya is home, though he recognizes that, due to the history of colonialism, he’ll never really be able to call Africa home. He and his wife work for the government in Malawi in a medical capacity, training doctors, digging wells, and handing out medical supplies and condoms.
