Gregory Character Analysis

Baby Gregory is Lenore and Trevor’s seven-month-old son. He’s a happy and precocious baby who, Ellie believes, has a natural predisposition to supernatural things. While this is sometimes positive—he plays with Kirby, for instance—it also has disastrous effects when Gregory touches ghost-Trevor’s hand, thereby allowing Trevor to return to Earth as a vengeful ghost.

Chapter 32 Quotes

“I am a neutral force,” Dr. Allerton said. “My healing balances my harm. Ellie, I tried to help you and your family. Did you know that I collected scholarship money for Trevor’s child? Well? Enough to pay for college! For grad school! You just wouldn’t let it go. Everything is a mess now.”

“Shut it,” Ellie said. “All the scholarships in the world can’t be a father to Gregory.”
