Angie Flint is Travis’s mom. She’s responsible for bringing meth to the Sault, and so she’s known to some as the “Meth Queen.” Angie already had an awful reputation thanks to the time she spent thousands of dollars throwing a party at the casino and then applied for emergency assistance from the Tribe to pay her utility bills. Despite bringing meth to the Sault, Angie’s role in the meth cell remains unclear to the end of the novel. Daunis initially suspects that Angie is responsible for David’s death, but this turns out to not be true.
