Dorothy Markham
Lady Julia Markham is the aunt of May of Teck girl Dorothy Markham. Julia serves as chairwoman of the May of Teck Club’s management committee. She appears early in the book in the form of a notice she has posted on behalf of the management committee to scold the girls for protesting the new wallpaper in the drawing room, which the girls consider ugly.
