Harry's beloved godfather. He died two years ago and left Harry his house, number twelve Grimmauld Place, and the house-elf Kreacher, as well. Sirius was a fun-loving man and a protective godfather, though his reach was limited, as he spent his life imprisoned and then on the run for a crime he didn't commit. Sirius was also derisive of Kreacher and treated him poorly when he was alive. He died protecting Harry. Harry brings a version of Sirius back when he walks to his death and in that incarnation, Sirius looks younger and happier than Harry has ever seen him.

Kreacher had been alone for a long time when Sirius came to live here, and he was probably starving for a bit of affection. I'm sure 'Miss Cissy' and 'Miss Bella' were perfectly lovely to Kreacher when he turned up, so he did them a favor and told them everything they wanted to know. I've said all along that wizards would pay for how they treat house-elves. Well, Voldemort did...and so did Sirius."
