Verma Character Analysis

Verma is the head of the biology department at the university in the town of Shahkot. He’s considered a scientific authority in town, despite the fact that his wild theories rarely have merit. His wife doesn’t share his enthusiasm for his theories, and she generally finds him annoying. When monkeys invade Shahkot and begin to cause trouble, Verma sees this as an opportunity to test his new theory: if he kills the monkeys’ leader and displays its body, the other monkeys will scatter in fear.

Verma himself had left his house for his customary walk to the university through the Badshah Gardens with his friends Poncha of Epidemiology and Sinha of Virology.
