Candelaria Character Analysis

Calendaria joins Nayeli and the Tres Camarones group during their first attempt at crossing the Mexican-American border. She's very pregnant, which suggests that she’s trying to get to the US so that her unborn child can have a better life. While the group runs, she helps Vampi when Vampi trips. The coyote is very upset that she tagged along without paying. Nayeli and her group lose track of Candelaria when they're arrested by Border Patrol, but they believe she, too, is deported.
