Paul was an Apostle who taught Christ’s word in the first century. Saints Paul and Luke are the only writers of the New Testament who did not live during the time of Christ. Like Barnabas, Paul was made an Apostle by the assembly at the Church of Antioch, and he is one of the biblical figures Hobbes cites frequently in Leviathan.
