Cam Whitesky Character Analysis

Cam is Evan’s younger brother. He’s is somewhat irresponsible, preferring to live in the moment and have fun rather than prepare for the oncoming winter. Cam also doesn’t care much about learning the community’s traditional ways. His lack of preparation and foresight leaves him vulnerable as the winter progresses, and he falls under antagonist Justin Scott’s influence. Cam grows thinner, weaker, and more demoralized as the winter progresses. Toward the end of the story, Scott forces Cam to dismember a dead body for food, which leaves Cam traumatized.
