Robert “Bob” Morgenthau Character Analysis

Robert Morgenthau is a New York district attorney when Sonia starts at the DA’s office. He’s not much of a talker, but he’s very good at his job and takes an interest in Sonia. Despite the fact that he has almost no budget to work with, he runs an efficient operation and implements policies that help his employees, such as allowing one employee to follow a case from beginning to end (rather than passing cases up to more senior employees after newer employees perform the difficult work). He becomes Sonia’s patron as she begins her journey to be a judge.
