“Fats” Terminal Character Analysis

“Fats” Terminal is a resident of Interzone. Addicted to drugs himself, Fats is also part of the underground market for “Black Meat,” which refers to the flesh of the giant aquatic black centipede. One of his employers is the Sailer, whom he sends on a mission to Interzone’s city Plaza to pick up his supply. One day, Fats’s desperation to acquire drugs drives him to degrade himself in front of a rich man, who then throws money at him. Over the course of his drug use, Fats develops a supernatural ability to perceive happenings in the world that he wouldn’t normally have been able to perceive.
