Miguel is an old friend of Lee, the narrator. He visits Lee in his apartment after spending two months in Corsica getting clean. Lee remarks on how good Miguel’s body looks before offering him a “snort” of heroin. Miguel accepts, but then Lee freaks out and kicks Miguel out of his apartment.
