Mr. Godalming
Tilly is Emma’s roommate while at university and for many years afterward. At one point, she has sex with Dexter. For Emma, the relationship is at least financial necessity, although Tilly’s wedding eventually becomes significant as a place where Dexter and Emma put aside an argument they’ve been having for several years.
