Princess & The Hustler

Lorna Character Analysis

Lorna is Wendell’s half-White daughter from Wendell’s partner after Mavis. Just a year younger than Princess, she and Princess quickly hit it off when she arrives at Mavis’s home. When Lorna starts going to school with Princess, however, all the girls start complimenting her more, implicitly because of her lighter skin. This development harms Princess’s self-esteem, but in the end the girls are reconciled, and Lorna is welcomed as a true member of the reunited James family.
