The Machinist Character Analysis

One of the stage crew, who (as his name suggests) is responsible for the mechanical aspects of the scenery. The Manager sends him out for “floral decorations,” and he later mistakenly lowers the stage curtain when the Manager triumphantly declares “curtain” at the point in the action where he plans to end the First Act of his play.
