Per Haskell Character Analysis

Per Haskell is the elderly leader of the Dregs gang. His main interest is building model ships, so Kaz effectively runs the gang. Haskell still takes a cut of all Kaz’s earnings, however, and he theoretically has final say on all decisions. Kaz resents Haskell because he sees Haskell as still following old rules guiding gang warfare—rules that no longer work in the novel’s present.
