Liam’s Mom Character Analysis

Liam’s mom is the owner of the Book Out Below! bookstore, where Jessie gets a job. Jessie can never remember her first name, so she usually refers to her just as Liam’s mom. Unlike most women her age in Los Angeles, Liam’s mom looks normal to Jessie. She hasn’t had plastic surgery and so has wrinkles and gray hair. She wears long, linen tunics and is a surprisingly kind person: when Jessie is obviously having a bad day, she offers to give Jessie the rest of the day off.
