Faith Cavendish Character Analysis

Faith is a former burlesque stripper, and somebody whom Holden only knows through word of mouth. Having heard that Faith is sexually promiscuous, he calls her late at night when he arrives in New York City. At first, she is angry that a stranger has woken her up, but she eventually tells Holden that she’s willing to meet him for a drink the following day. As soon as she offers this, though, Holden says he won’t be in town by then and hangs up.
