Kike Character Analysis

Kike is Labake and Morufu’s daughter. She and Adunni used to play together in the village before Adunni was forced to marry Morufu. Kike lies for Adunni when Labake accuses Adunni of using her stove, and Adunni appreciates this small act of kindness. Shortly after this incident, Kike leaves the house to move in with Baba Ogun, the husband Morufu selected for her. Kike accepts the marriage, even though her real dream is to become a tailor. She reasons that if she can’t be a man, the next best thing is to marry one.
