Monsieur Estragon Character Analysis

Monsieur Estragon is the French chef Mr. George Cleaver hires to impress his wealthy guests in “The Butler.” Though reluctant, he follows Cleaver’s misguided request to add vinegar to the salad dressing, knowing it ruins the wine. In the end, Tibbs reveals that he and Estragon secretly drank all of the fine wines Cleaver believed he and his guests were consuming. After Tibbs’s revelation, Estragon meets him outside, and the two depart together, abandoning the Cleaver household.
