Minor Characters
Jack Jingly
Jack Jingly is a seven-foot-tall horseman and member of Captain Cully’s vagabond group. He and his fellow horsemen seem to frequent Hagsgate often, and during one trip, they capture Schmendrick and bring him back to their captain.
Rukh
Alongside Schmendrick, Rukh works for Mommy Fortuna and assists with her Midnight Carnival. Rukh is not very bright—Schmendrick easily distracts him with riddles as he plots to free the unicorn from Mommy Fortuna.
Butterfly
The unicorn meets the butterfly while traveling. It tells her a riddle alluding to the captured unicorns, encouraging the unicorn to continue searching for her fellows.
Cat
