Brandir is the lord of the house of Haleth when Túrin arrives in Brethil. He falls in love with Níniel and hears Glaurung’s final words about her identity as Túrin’s sister, but because he walks with a limp from a childhood injury, he’s unable to stop her subsequent suicide. Enraged, he kills Dorlas and tells the people of Brethil what he witnessed. Túrin kills him for slandering him.
