Minenhle Tikiti Character Analysis

Daughter to Baines Tikiti, sister to Golide Gumele, aunt to Genie, life partner to Mordechai Gatiro/C10, and one-time teacher to Thandi, Minenhle is tortured by Mordechai while the colonial government is searching for her brother Golide but refuses to break. Later, a repentant Mordechai romances her in disguise and becomes her life partner. After Golide and Elizabeth Nyoni die in a massacre, Minenhle wants to adopt her niece Genie but is prevented by her former student Thandi, who still resents that Minenhle pointed out Thandi as her prettiest student when forced to do so by invading soldiers seeking to humiliate someone.
