Lieutenant Bonnycastle Character Analysis

One of the soldiers, along with Devlin, whom Robert Ross and Levitt relieve of their position in the dugout at St. Eloi. He argues with Levitt over Clausewitz on War and with Robert over the guns that were left in No Man’s Land after the Battle of St. Eloi. When Willie Poole comes to Asile Desolé to deliver Robert his kit bag, he delivers the news that Bonnycastle has been killed.
