Jean realizes she isn’t capable of killing. She tells Lorenzo to get Petroski: they need the keys to break Lin out so she can do this. Lin appears five minutes later and, using sign language (which Lorenzo translates), asks Jean to assist her. Lin drills into the chimp’s skull and injects a vial into its brain. She completes the procedure in five minutes. Both the chimp and Morgan are stirring now.
Because Jean can communicate, she can use that ability to put together a team capable of accomplishing this task.
