When I Was Puerto Rican

Francisco Character Analysis

Francisco is Mami's boyfriend in Brooklyn. He's ten years younger than she is and Tata doesn't like him. Negi and her siblings, however, love him because he's kind to them and to Mami. He's diagnosed with cancer around the same time that Mami becomes pregnant, and he dies not long after Franky is born.
