Summary
Analysis
Miranda is almost done with the letter. Since she’s been working on it, she’s figured out a few more things—like that the naked men running around on Broadway were probably Marcus’s early attempts at landing in the right place. She knows she could tell him about this and other things (like Julia) when she gives him the letter, but she’s decided against it. She’s just going to say, “try not to land in the broccoli.” He is a “smart kid,” and she knows he’ll understand.
The final chapter ties up a few of the loose ends and weaves in all the final details introduced earlier in the book, like the naked men on Broadway. The fact that Miranda doesn’t feel like she needs to include all of them testifies to her newfound trust in her friends—including Marcus and Julia—to know what to do. She has unshakeable faith that they won’t fail her or Sal.
