Firdaus’s Mother Character Analysis

Firdaus remembers nothing about her mother except that she loved her, and that her eyes seem to watch over Firdaus when she was a small child. Whenever Firdaus feels love for another person, their eyes reflect the same quality as her mother’s eyes, appearing as if light pours out of them. Despite Firdaus’s affection for her mother, she is also the person who coordinates Firdaus’s circumcision as a young girl.
