A while back, Leah wanted to find a home method for abortion that wouldn’t show up on her joint banking statement with Michel. But she couldn’t, and so she had to go to a clinic and pay with an old credit card. Now, she is back at the same clinic again, for her third time.
This passage reveals the full extent of the secrets Leah has been keeping from Michel.
