Helene Character Analysis

Helene is Frenchie’s daughter. One night, after heavy drinking, Helene drunkenly wanders across the frozen waters of Adam’s Rib and Fur Island to get home, tragically falling into the Hungry Mouth of Water and drowning. Her death devastates Frenchie and functions as a cautionary tale about the harsh realities of the natural world.
