Governor of Babylon Character Analysis

Like so many others, the Governor of Babylon defiantly refuses to surrender his city to Tamburlaine, chastising his own men who recommend doing so as cowards and villains. Tamburlaine reveals his slide into depravity in his conquest of Babylon: he orders the Governor to be strung from the city walls and used as target practice, then commands everyone alive inside to be slaughtered.
