Ellen is an enslaved girl befriended by Mrs. Wright. When she defied her enslavers and skipped her duties to visit Mrs. Wright, they retaliated by deciding to sell her into sexual slavery. With Mrs. Wright’s help, Ellen attempted to escape disguised as a boy, but she was soon apprehended by her enslaver, who carried her off to an unknown fate.
