“Duracell Dan,” known by this name due to his penchant for collecting batteries, is a homeless man. Jesse brings him meals in exchange for Dan looking after his arson paraphernalia. At one point, Jesse brings Dan along to watch as he burns a shed, at which point Dan tells Jesse that another homeless man known as the Rat lives inside it. This propels Jesse to enter the burning shed to rescue the Rat.
