Mr. Nipper is Lorinda Pike’s smug business partner at the Beulah Valley Tavern. Nipper and Pike invest equal amounts of money in the Tavern, but unlike Pike, Nipper does no work to maintain the property or serve the guests. After Windrip takes office, Nipper opportunistically sues Pike and convinces Judge Effingham Swan to grant him full ownership of the Tavern. He tries to make Pike keep working in the kitchen, but she eventually quits.
