Bert
Claud is a neighboring farmer and a friend of Rummins in “Parson’s Pleasure.” He initially arrives at Rummins’s hoping to collect ham from a recently slaughtered pig. Like Bert, Claud’s role in the story is also minor, but he’s the one who suggests cutting the legs off the antique commode to make it easier to transport, sealing Cyril Boggis’s fate.
